Empresa estadounidense de televisión y radiodifusión, anteriormente dedicada a la fabricación de equipos eléctricos.
Fue fundada por George Westinghouse en 1886 con la razón social Westinghouse Electric Co., a fin de fabricar y vender sistemas eléctricos de corriente alterna. La empresa se convirtió en una importante proveedora de la industria de servicios eléctricos públicos, dado que fabricaba maquinaria utilizada para generar y distribuir electricidad. Adoptó la razón social Westinghouse Electric Corp. en 1945. Después de la segunda guerra mundial, también fabricaba reactores nucleares y aparatos electrónicos de defensa. En la década de 1990 compró estaciones de radio y televisión en todo EE.UU., entre ellas, la cadena de televisión CBS Inc. en 1995 e Infinity Broadcasting Corp. en 1996. Tras vender su división de artículos electrónicos de defensa a Northrop Grumman Corp. en 1996, la firma cambió su razón social por CBS Corp. en 1997 y vendió sus operaciones nucleares a British Nuclear Fuels PLC. en 1998. El conglomerado de media Viacom Inc. adquirió la cadena CBS en 1999 y la rebautizó
CBS Television Network.
